Is this how the mag pump kit works?

Does the pump kit work like this?
-The spring behind the bolt gives bolststick.
-when the pump is pumped the rod presses against the tip of the bolt and resets it.
I have never used the pump kit yet and its missing the rod but if I am right than it won't be hard to modify my stock mag parts.

    Is that it?
(It took me one hour to figure this out hope I'm right)

youve got the basic idea. the rod actually pushs on the flange that the sear catches.

the rail needs to have a slot in it and the body needs the enlarged sear hole.
