Retro Leaking out the velocity nut

Today I was playing and I noticed the input was up around 1050-1100... now I DID NOT SET it the high..I guess the reg just crept up.. last time I shot it was 850... I backed it down to 850..it ran fine for about 500 rds... then it started leaking after every couple of shots...

I know the guns will leak out the velocity nut when the velocity is adjusted too high. Mine just started leaking today..but it doesn't do it all the time... and it only does it after the trigger has been pulled then gets released. Once released it will pfft a little air out.

Now I have a retro Mini with LVL10. Running .5 carrier 3 shims and med spring. The velocity is 285-290. It was happening worse when I had the longest spring in... so as a gesture I changed to the medium, lowered velocity and it doesn't do it as often... maybe once in the 100 rds I shot did it leak a little. Any suggestions? Anyone had this problem? Is it just because the velocity is cranked so high for the LVL10? Should I try to get a new reg piston from AGD?

    Any ideas?

    New piston should fix it.

Do you mean the output from your tank was creeping? If so, then I'd check that out. What kind of tank do you have?

with the input pressure up so high it probably messed up your mag's reg, a new reg piston, maybe reg piston o rings even should fix it

if it goes down with the jump of the LX springs, then its because the pressure you are sending into the valve chamber is too high. its a saftey feature designed for the L7 bolt, not the LX bolt which requires much more air pressure. you can look in here for methods to fix the problem with spacers in the reg springs and you can also go down to the smallest spring

        hope that helps
