So many upgrades, what do I get?

Hey this is my first post. I've been reading the forums after getting my mag and decided to finnaly make a post. I recently bought a used Automag Classic, with a 14" Tear Drop barrel, and a PE 48/3000 Nitro Tank. I have ordered the following:

-Benchmark Double Finger Trigger Frame (black)
-KAPP Drop Zone II Cradle (black)
    -KAPP On/Off Valve (black)
    -KAPP 7/8" Elbow (smoke)
    -Dye Stick Grips (black)
    -eVLution II (black)

I was wondering if I could get opinions on the items I bought and any recommendations on future purchases. I already plan on getting the *brand new* X-Valve, black mini-mag powerfeed body, and a new barrel (Armson Stealth 13"? Any other ideas?) All suggestions/ideas/comments will be accepted with graditude! Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a good plan for the future, I would have recommended an intelli over the Benchmark frame tho. X valve will get you lx and retro so an adjustable tank might be something to consider! Freak would be my barrel reccomendation. Have fun with your mag and welcome to AO

I would ditch the Benchmark frame in favor of the Inteliframe!! It's much better built, you have a choice of double or blade trigger, and it comes with black Dye stickies already on them!!! Other than that, your accesory list seems to be solid, have fun!!!

Looks like you overlooked some things... I'd look more into the major performance parts first like the bolt, barrel and valve. Then I'd look into interface.

        I suggest:
        (just to start out)
        Lvl 10 bolt system
a second barrel (of course a different bore)
Dye double trigger frame or Intelliframe
        A comfy drop
        A good hopper

(if you wanna take it a step further)
        Retro Valve/X valve
        Sluggo/x mag body
        A barrel kit

You can keep going with whatever you want. I don't really suggest those aftermarket company internals like ans bolts or on/off valves, they usually don't improve performance like AGD upgrades do.

All those upgrades are for comfort, thus making performance better. If I feel better I can play better. The X-valve, Black PF Mini-Mag Body, and a new barrel are big ticket items. Those are on the next shipment so for now I'm good with what I ordered.

For the barrel I am torn between an Armson Stealth 13" and a Dye Ultralite 12"/14". Both are GREAT barrels but I've heard mixed reviews about the Armson. One of my friends has a Stealth, and another is getting one. Not sure if I wanna get the Stealth for performance, or if I don't wanna get it cuz everyone else has one. HELP!

I had a Stealth before, not for a mag tho, and I thought it was a good barrel w/ the right paint. So pretty much like most other aftermarket barrels that I have used. Mine liked small bore paint and I think they all do so that may be a problem depending on what paint you mostly shoot. If you do shoot small bore paint I would rec. a J&J ceramic over the Stealth because it costs less, is lighter, and is just as quiet. Lapco Bigshot would be my choice for a med. bore, inexpensive, and good barrel. Hope that helps!

Yeah the Ceramic sounds pretty cool. But what about the colors. Is the black all right? My color scheme on my gun is all black so..and any comments on the DYE Ultralite? Or what about the Tear Drop. That's what I have, is the ceramic much better than that? This is the first thing I'm really skeptical about buying since it is a pretty big part of the gun and can be somewhat expensive. Thanks guys. And if your gonna read it you could at least post. Any and all advice/suggestions/comments/conductive criticisim/etc.. is welcome.

The J&J ceramics are very dark grey, almost black. I have the all black color scheme and the barrel color looks good. The ceramic shoots great and is quieter. If you call J&J, they will bore the ceramic barrels in whatever diameters you want for about $45 each. I use the .689 and .687 most. Get those two instead of the freak and save $120. I don't use my freak anymore.

The finish on the J&J ceramics is flat, like a mag body. I've never seen one on a mag in person but I think they would match real well as opposed to a shiny black barrel. My J&J is for a cocker and is grey, but like toysallround said I think they make only make them in black now.

After some research and some testing I have decided to go with the DYE Ultralight. I guess I trust the DYE name and hey, the barrel is really freakin light! Now, does anyone know where the best prices are? The cheapest I've found on an Ultralight for an Automag is 90 bucks. Thanks for your help guys.
