    emag question

is there any reason why couldn't get a slug body and machine the bottom of it like a body rail so i wouldn't need a body rail this would really lighten the marker up tremedously.
    thanx

      yep

but the micromag body seems alot bigger/heavier than a mag body so that would defeat the whole purpose

thats because it has the rail built in

and want a smaller mciro mag? 99% of the aluminum on the boddy of a mag isnt needed. the valve assy is what holds the pressure. so, you could mill the micro mag alot

          hmmm

well what im after is to lighten the emag by not using a body rail i was thinkin of just machining the underside of a sluggo to mirror that of a body rail

There isint iny extra aluminum on the bottom of the slugo bodys to do that. The bottom half is already milled to AGD specs so you wont have any alignment problems, all the extra aluminum is on the top. Even if you could it would still be aluminum just like the current trigger rail, so where would you be saving the weight?

the ULE is as minimal as possible. ANd i bet you can purchase a ULE cheaper than you can have a machinist mill one...

I think from looking at TK's x-mag at the Ditto's party that the rail and trigger frame are one piece
