    bottle question

i run my retro valve mag on an Air America 3000lb 114ci regulating bottle. last night i went with a bunch of buddies to play some indoor speedball, gun ran perfect. afterward brought it home cleaned the gun all up, put it all back together, oiled it up, when to run a few shots threw it to get the oil on and after like 2 pulls, the bottle spiked to 1200, i run the preasure out of the bottle at around 750. shot a few more, the preasure stayed up. so i shut it down, un hooked it, and tryed it all again, same result. anyone have any hints for me? im guessing the regulator but i just want to make sure im not doing something on my own here. thank you

most likely the reg just needs a cleaning..... or a seal replaced......

inany case if you decide to work on it yourself.... DRAIN ALL AIR FIRST........

then have a go at it..... worse comes to worse or you dont want to try to work on it.... send contact AA about sending it in.... they got the nice lifetime warenty on them things......

Turn the tank to the OFF position, and then unscrew all four of the bolts holding on the reg. body. Pull off the reg body and you'll see a round clear reg. seat stuck in the center of the reg. body. Much like a Mag reg. seat.

Take a clean rag and wipe off that seat and then take the reg. valve pin and spring and clean them off. Make sure to clean off the tapered part of the pin since that's the sealing surface.

Put it all back together and make sure to torque the mounting bolts the same pattern as you would torque wheel lug nuts on a car. Don't crank on it too hard, just enough to seal things up. Try that and if that doesn't work, contact Air America.
