Air leaking out of the back R/T Valve

Gassed up my minimag RT today and all of a sudden a alot of air was coming out of the rear (where you put the allen key to adjust the velocity). I removed the tank so I don't waste any air. I turned the velocity adjustment screw clock wise. Gassed it up now the marker is fine. The last time I used the marker everything was fine. I did not do any kind of adjustments after. Do you guys know what caused this? What puzzles me is that when I used the marker last there was nothing wrong. This is a stock RT valve level X is not installed yet.

    Thanks for your help.

I just had the same problem

I have an E-Mag, gassed it up and it leaked out the back. Degassed and re-attached, no problem. Shot 200 balls, ungassed, oiled it through the ASA, gassed and shot it 30 or so times. Next day, gassed it up and it leaked again, degassed, re-attached and it's fine.

    What's up?

Usualy that means the valve is dry and needs to be oiled!!! I happened on my E-mag, and my Retro, I disassembled, cleaned and oiled everything, and the problem went away, and has not reared it's ugly head since!!! Every once in a while (probably about 6 months or so), you need to take the valve apart and oil everything!! Hope this helps!!

I use oil in the ON/OFF and in the front portion of the valve. On the other hand I grease the reg. piston and spring section. I also put a little grease on the tiny spring stack in the center of the valve. Never had a problem.
