    Automag RT Bolt Position Problem

When my RT is aired up, the bolt moves forward slightly. It's just enough to prevent paint from consistently dropping all the way into the chamber. I end up chopping balls pretty frequently.

There are no air leaks that I can detect. Anybody have any ideas?

    Thanks!!

How old? You might check for a very worn sear.

Thanks for the suggestion. Not sure how old the gun is. I bought it used from a friend. The sear doesn't look worn, but I'm not sure how to tell. It's not loose on the axel and the bolt end still has a fairly sharp angle. The strange thing is it worked fine the first few times I used it, then suddenly developed the problem. You can definitely see the bolt move forward about 1 or 2mm when air is applied.

It will do that. The sear and the bolt are both angled so that they make a positive lock. The sear should have a fairly sharp edge and it should hook into the bolt. Check for a rail bushing. This part goes into body rail and the grip frame. The field strip screw goes through it into the valve. Also make sure that the body screw that goes through the gripframe is tight. Aside from that I can't think of anything else it might be.
