I'm sorry if these question have already been asked and answered, I looked around and could not find them specifically. I have ordered a retro x-valve(exchange) and it is due here Monday!! My first question is are the bolt and valve tested together so little to no adjustment of the bolt is necessary? Or are these pieces but into a box and shipped? My second question is about the mag body. My mag was bought in 1991 at a level 5 and upgraded to a level 7, so this body(the part that bolts to the frame and grip) is all aluminum? Since the x-valve is black and I ordered an intelliframe in black I want to have the body anodized but don't want to damage anything else. Thanks for the help. Batterhed

I would imagine the level 10 kit is not pre-installed in the valve but I could be wrong.
By body to you mean the rail (that's what it sounds like from your description)? If so that's aluminum and can be annoed. Usually they are already black though.
If by body you mean the actual body (tube with the feed on it) then they are, and have always been, stainless steel. They can only be polished or powdercoated. You can't anno stainless. There are a few guys on these forums than can do powdercoating. Do a search for "powdercoating" in the dealer's section.
