LvL-10 Bolt-Barrel match.....

My lvl 10 bolt does not work in my Dye boomstick, .684 bore size... For some reason my barrels bore size is smaller then that of the regular dye bore sizes, .688, which work with my gun and lvl x bolt. Is there something you guys have done to compensate for these smaller barrels, or am i on my own to get rid of it and find a new one. I called dye and they said its "not" their problem that they sent me something other then their "default" barrel size...

Im just wondering if you guys have done something for this?? Smaller bolt- etc...

Sorry to bother you guys with this but... whew it does make me kind of mad that its a 144 dollar barrel and all...

I find it hard to believe that Dye sent you a .684 with out a custom order. If you did custom order it, you are out of luck with the level 10, as it wont fit anything less than .687. If you didnt custom order it, send it back and get the stock size.

They said they won't.... I didnt order it directly from dye, but I purchased it at www.paintballonline.com. they said, over 30 days they cant take it back... I din't "ask" for a .684, or a 688, i thought their judgement would be better then mine considering i was only 3 months into the sport when i purchased it. I guess i just expected the "regular" barrel, wouldnt you? I guess it ALSO didn't matter THEN but it does now... arg, I might just buy a freak considering how much this is pissing me off...

I really have no clue why i ended up with such a small barrel...

[1] that the store you bought it from won't take back the barrel however i guess they do have a return period that was exceeded. however since you have been using the barrel and not indicated that you were having problems with it, like balls breaking in the barrel etc. it would lead me to believe that you were shooting paint that fit the small bore barrel well. dont get rid of it, just buy a medium bore barrel now and you will have covered off different size paints. if i understand freaks correctly, you will have the same problem with that as you are having with your present barrel, i.e. if you are going to be shooting small bore paint, you wont be able to do it with your LX bolt because the insert will have to be small bore as well for proper barrel paint match.

[2] also sucks that the new bolt on the LX wont work with small bore barrels if i read what tunaman posted correctly.

it wasnt a problem untill the lvl x was installed on both my emag and the RT minimag. Somehow the smaller barrel always made its way on the no lvl 10 gun. mmph... its useless... I could sell it here... its really nice condition, but the fact that most people will get the lvl 10 will not help me to sell it... CRAP!
