    new bolt for minimag?

I have an old stock bolt in my minimag and want to upgrade it. Is it worth it? Do newer bolts help much in these guns? Should I get a venturi bolt? Should I get a foamie? This gun is very old, but in good condition. The bolt is the standard hard nose, kinda triangular shaped. Any advice? Thanks

First: Welcome to AO! Second: Yes, the new Level 10 Bolt is a great upgrade from the stock bolt. The LX virtually eliminates all breaks and because it's made by AGD you know it will be a great product. It does however, require a little tinkering to get it set up correctly but once you do, it's fantastic!

Edit: If you have enough cash you can trade in your old Minimag valve(providing both valves have matching serial numbers) and get a brand new X-Valve. Basically it's a lighter version of the ReTro Valve and comes stock with Level 10. I believe the trade in cost is about $225.

Thanks for the response. Here's another question, would it make more sense to trade in the valve or just get a new gun? I was thinking of getting a new minimag or classis automag anyway. Since I'd be spending so much on a new valve would it be worth it to just spend more and get a new gun?

There is no diferrence between a new minimag and your's!! The level 10 bolt is more than worth the money, or you can trade in your valve and get te Xvalve that has LX on it already!! The new valve will transform your gun into an extremly fast, high level gun!! Getting a new 'mag will do nothing for you since you have one already!!

sounds good, thanks. What do you guys recommend as far as barrels. By the way I got this gun from a friend of mine who hasn't played in like 7 years. So I don't know what has happened to the gun when he was using it, but it seems to be in good shape, and he has done some upgrades. He played for Ironmen for a while, and it got tricked out, but then his sister's boyfriend borrowed it and took some of the upgrades out. So I think getting a new valve will be the best bet. He has two custom made barrels, one is aluminum and is similar to an old smart parts all american, the other is stainless and is similar to an old dye. the latter has a really tight bore though, so I mostly like the aluminum. Are there any barrels that stand above the others? I realize this is highly opinionated and I will probably get many different responses. How about the ACI graffitti barrely? Or a Lapco bigshot? I have one of those on my old spyder and I like it a lot. Thanks
