    lvl 10 double feeding...

i got my x-valve in yesterday and i was playin around w/ it today, and i was tryin to get the lvl 10 to kick in, i finaly managed to out shoot my hopper and get it to stop on a ball, i was excited, but when i shot the next shot, it was nothing but spray out the end of my barrel, and i couldn't shoot threw it. the only thing that i can think happened is when the bolt stoped on the ball, it pushed it far enough into the barrel for another to be feed, and when that 1 was shot, all it did was break the 1 infront of it, and then getting stuck in it's place. This isn't gonna happen every time my bolt stops on a ball is it?

I've only doble fed once, and both ball shot out It shouldn't happen very often.

Check your barrel nubbin. That's what keeps you from double-feeding. And no, don't expect a double feed when the Level 10 kicks in.

Your the second person in this post to try to blame double feeding on the lvl10, IT IS THE BARREL NUBBINS, ALSO KNOWN AS A BALL DETANT!

my nubin is fine, it's pretty much brand new, i've only played 2 games (1500 rounds or so) w/ it, and i double checked it when it 1st came up, but i see nothing wrong w/ my nubin, right now, i guess i'm not too worried about it, as long as it's not a regular thing

I had about the same problem. Mine would feed, but not have enough force to shoot the 1st ball. the ball would go into the barrel about 1" and then the next ball would feed.

I had to change to the middle spring. I was using the long one and I just could not get enough force to shoot a ball. I also have an old reg piston, and increasing the velocity farther would make it vent out the back.

So, what I'm saying is change to the middle (cut) spring, re-chrony and try it again.

thanks, i'll try that if it happens again, right now i'm out of air, other wise i would just play w/ it, see what happens, but i can't. and i am using plastic nubbins, but i'm not convinced they are the issue, what halliday explained is exactly what happened, he just worded it better than i

yea on some of ther older kits you have to clip the longer spring a bit

I'm NOT saying clip any springs. Using the longest spring usually has your Mag running on the edge of tourney play, and just might not work for everyone. I have not had the same problems since I changed down to the middle spring.
