Few questions on my new RTmag **PIC**

This is my second gun, I have an Intimidator and I know alot about Intimidators and know almost nothing about mags, I just bought this gun beacause My team needs it and it performs awesome. Before you read the rest keep in mind that it has a preset 68/3000 Crossfire and a Palmer Stabalizer rather than what is in the pic.It also has the level 10 kit and a retro valve. I have a few questions about it

    1. The guy who sold me this gun (my boss) was talking about how to turn it to retro mode (ilegal), but having to turn up the psi somewhere??? I didnt really get what he said, any input would be nice

    2. What would be a good new barrel for it (I play back/mid)? just wondering.

    3. Is there a thread on AO or anything that will tell me anything i need to know or give me any info? Thanks

i assume that you work for petty because ive seen this gun before. I guess he is talking about sweetspotting which isn't recomended to do...its actually a malfuntion of the gun. If he isn't talking about sweetspotting then you may have a low pressure crossfire tank and your valve needs a higher pressure to work how it is meant to. the only way i know how to fix that is to get a higher pressure tank.

-For barrel you should purchase a barrel kit, just choose the one you like best. the whole accuracy depends on paint to bore match.

-just search on the tech forum about anything that you need to know and it will probably be there.

    hope this helps.

P.S. maybe you could get me in free to pettys sometime

      Nice gun!
First off, the lapco barrels are awesome and I know a few people who swear by them. I would stick with it for a while.
The gun is always in retro 'mode' because it has a retro valve. It might not be reactive but it will ALWAYS be in retro mode. If you want it in runaway, or some people call it sweetspotting (like silent bob said) crank up the input PSI. However, because your tank is fixed, you cant do this. But you still will experiance SOME bounce, you just cant adjust it.
Well, again, that is a really nice gun and I hope you enjoy it. Just lube it up some and you got a great working gun.
BTW I know you have nitrogen, but I'm not sure if you have been informed retro valves dont work on CO2 or not.. CO2 + ReTro valve = hell

-first, find out what output your tank is preset at (if its LP, your out of luck and you probably needa higher output tank)
-second, i would recommend taking off the palmer's because automags have an internal reg that is good enough, but if you feel the need to keep it, i would think you should adjust it to high psi along with your tank becuase you dont want to starve the valve/reg

YES, let me get my boots and we'll go to Wendy's!!!

Thanks, sweetspoting, runaway, trigger bounce, that is exactly what he was talking about! Ill have to check to see what the output on the tank is, thanks!

            ok so...

If my tank is high pressure, then I just turn up the inline regs output, right?

If the tank output is high enough (800-900psi) I'd ditch the inline reg altogether honestly. The AIR valve on the mags has the reg built into it and would work fine without the inline reg.
