Micromag , and X valve question.

I still have my sear that came with the micromag on now. Should I keep that one on , or install the one that came with the X valve? Thanks alot.

Are you using a retro in your micro? If you are then it should be the same sear. If your not, then you have to change it to the one that came with the x.

I think I remember the thread your talkin about. It was the on/off pin, not the sear. You need a slightly shorter pin in the micros. That might be the reason for some of your difficulty in getting your valve in, anyway, you'll need to press on the on/off assembly a little bit to get the valve to slide in.

Heh, ya it's kinda tough the first time. I used a bick pen cap, shaved down a bit to apply a little pressure to the on/off assembly so it'd go in.

By "sear assembly" do you mean the brass square shaped piece on the bottom of the valve that holds the on/off pin? If you took that out and still won't go in (I assume just for fit right?) that's weird.

                    Good idea.

Ok, that's not what I'm talking about. That shouldn't matter if the tips outta the way.

Put a little upwards pressure on the on/off to get your valve in.

See Load's post below for a pic of what part I'm talking about.

Check this part. It was sticking out a bit on mine too and preventing the valve from going in.

I used a thin piece of plastic to apply pressure on it so it would slide in. Maybe some one else has a better idea, but it worked fine for me.

Honestly I replaced mine with the one from my SFL Valve and it fit flush. I think it may just need to wear in a bit. When you stick in in the body use something rigid and flat like a nail file or knife blade to push and hold that part in while you slide the valve in. If I'm right it you should'nat have to do that everytime you pull the valve after it breaks in.

Maybe BlackVGC will have a better idea.

                            Hope this helps some.
