    Maintenance

hey i have been out of paintball for about 8 months now and my gun seems a bit out of shape. i was wondering if someone could give me some advice on some sort of maintenance kit i could buy for it, with some lube and stuff. i have just a classic mag with a minimag reg on it plus a warp. im such a noob again, but it feels so good!

    thanks

    Welcome back to paintball!

Here's the parts kit for your gun that should provide all the necessary maintenance parts you need. It will come with two of the new plastic nubbins. Replace the wire nubbins in your barrel with those. That's one of the best maintenance upgrades to do right away. Get yourself some oil. I think KC Trouble Free is the best oil to use, but Gold Cup and ACI are okay. Put about 3-4 drops of oil in your ASA and dry fire the gun with the barrel off for about 50 shots to cycle the oil through the valve and lubricate all the moving parts and the o-rings.

I would recommend taking apart the valve, replacing the reg. seat, cleaning off the on/off pin, piston and clean/replace the PT tip o-ring. Look at the o-rings and if they look discolored, dry or cracking, replace them. There's an exploded view of the Mag valve on Airgun.com under the Technical Section if you need a reference to show how the parts go together. Also, the part orientation is laser etched on the valve for quick reference.
