Yet another X-valve leaking air question...

Hardly audible leak coming from inside the reg. Firing and holding the trigger stops leak. Lvl 10 issue, i.e. change spacer size?

    Thanks all,

sounds odd that such a new x-valve has such a problem, but it doesnt seem like lvl 10 has anything to do with it. push the face of the bolt when it leaks, then come back and report.

Try a tighter carrier, if that doesn't fix it, remove a shim. If that doesn't fix it, Make sure the on/off o-ring inside the two pieces and the one on the bottom don't have dirt on them that's causing them not to seal or are broke in any way.

i would guess the carrier needs to be smaller, the LX Bolt needs oil or hte carrier oring is cashed...or the powertube tip oring

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried the next smaller carrier with no luck. If I remove a shim there won't be one in the power tube (there's only one in there now from the factory). Tried oiling the valve as was suggested and checked the o-rings in the on/off and power tube. They seem fine as they're brand new and the valve has never been used in play.

It almost sounds like it's leaking from the left side of the valve as you hold it in a firing position, yet doesn't seem to be leaking out of the little hole there.

          Thanks all,

Thanks. I had tried that one too! lol, getting tired of beating my head against this thing. I'm looking for a good PB store in my area anyway, I'll see if I can get an air smith to look at it while I'm waiting to hear what AGD has to say.

              Thanks all,

be sure that if you find an airsmith, that he certainly knows what he's doing. there have been several stories confirming that your average airsmith doesnt know crap about AGD valves.:)

Heh, thanks. I certainly will. Hopefully there's a good one around here.

Yes, many airsmits dont know junk about what they do...its just figdit around with it till it works...ending up in 5 hours of labor for a 30 min job

Make sure he has a certificate for working on AGD products. That doesnt make him smart, it just means he has at one point known what hes doing

i have had my lvl 10 in for about 2500 rounds. everything worked like it should. then today i got a leak out of barrel. so i removed all of kit to restart.what i found was the little black o-ring on the outsideof the carrier had a very small chip in it. i almost could not see it! i took a chunk out when i installed it because the fit was so tight. that was the problem. now no leak out of any part of gun!
