I have an automag. Can I take the body off and put a minimag body on it? The both use the same rail assembly, so I would think its possible. Anybody out there every try this? I ask because I think the minimag bodys are very cool and just might throw one on.

I was thinking about this just tonight, about to post until I came saw this thread. I have some other questions. Is the only differance cosmetic? About how much would one of these be, I couldn't find it on 888 paintball or 800 paintball or paintballgear.com and gave up. Oh, and (I don't see why wouldn't) does it use the same barrel threading?
thanks

yes, the classic/powerfeed bodies and minimag bodies are completely interchangable. I think you can pick them up direct from AGD/AO online store for around 150 or so...???
But you can easily pick one up used off the for sale forums, heck i have bought a few off this one.Comment

I got mine for 80 bucks and all it needed was a powertube o-ring, so I had to do it. Espicially since I had one and it got stolen, but still had the barrel. I'm trying to figure out the advantage of mini-mags, just the look, or is it lighter or what.Legalize ItComment

chewbaka:
paid 90 for one and i got two bodies with one gun package (one was a warp minimag body and the other was regular minimag).
As far as advantages of a mini over classic:
The mini comes stock with bottom-line, ASA, 3*valve vs. 1*, barrel, minimag body.
Those are the only differences. There are no performance benefits of one over the other and actually the mini would weight a bit more since it's body is longer.Comment

... Personaly I like the Classic bodies.. but i have a minimag lol
