    body rust with polishing

    will my body rust if i polish it? my dad says it will and i see a bunch of you guys with polished bodys and no rust on them. so how do yeah do it right?

    it will not rust, i polished my body and no problems.
    Even if you take some metal off, it's still stainless steel.
    Never heard to a problem with polishing bodies.

      the only way ive heard of stainless rusting is when steel gets imbedded in the stainless. like from machining or hitting it against something made of steel. thats why when people say use steelwool on it i shudder because this could possibly deposit steel on the gun.

      polishing will not cause it to rust.

        No the body is stainless steel and will not rust when polished, but if your still worried of posable rusting use some Turtlewax on your body when your done.

            But...

            If you polish it will eventually become kind of dingy and not as shiny, which requires more polishing... But, that goes for alot of things polished or chrome, there is work involved down the road.
