    Mags Leaking

My Mag is leaking. Im new to mags, used to tippys lol. It is leaking down the barrel, are there any popular problems and quick fixes, that will stop the leaking? Thanks! (Also its a classic Mag if that helps)

Two things could cause a leak down the barrel.

        1) A carrier that is too loose is the most probable cause.

        2) Too many shims cause the vent hole to be exposed past the o-ring is the other cause.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Take off the powertube top, Move to the shortest spring. Put a carrier in the is snug, not loose on the bolt, you can test this when it is not put together.

Make sure the teflon spacer is in there first. Then the carrier, o ring side down, Then the 2 shims, then hand screw on the top.

Depending on what kind of setup you have, put about 2-3 drops of oil in the ASA (Or air hose) And gase it up

Get a towel or rag and poke it down the barrel a little ways, fire about 10-30 times. Remove the rag and shoot untill there is no more fine mist comming out (Oil).

If it leaks out the back, lower velocity. Out of the frount, put in a smaller carrier, and oil the o-ring up.

When you have no more leaks...

Put something down in the barrel, Pen or pencil, put it a little way away from the bolt, pull the trigger... If it hits it, hisses, and then bounces back in position, you are in business. The o-ring needs to be broken in still so it could leak later when you are playing. It should just be a small leak down the barrel so disregard it until you get a chance to go change it. So bring your lvl 10 kit with you. Remove the o-ring that had been in there, put it in the nest smallest carrier, put everything back in... And you should be good to go... Hope that helped...

*If* You are using co2... You should think about getting an air tank soon. Co2 is hell on o-rings

an automag tech installed it for me. it worked fine, then one day when i was dry firing it started leaking. i dont think its the level10 but what do i know, im new to mags. and im not shooting Co2, maybe its my velocity? i dunno, maybe the orings not broken in yet, i just got the level10 installed and only shoot about 100 times. I guess ill try changing springs or should i just wait to see if it "fixes itself" lol.

Your problem is totally normal for a just-installed level 10. Your power tube o-ring has broken in now. Switch to one size smaller carrier to fix your leak. Have fun with your non chopping gun.
