Used field markers and level 10 Caveat

I bought a used Classic that was a field rental and then bought level 10 to upgrade it. Well this isn't possible, without having the inner part of the bolt drilled out (the part the level 10 bolt slides over, can't remember the name) since these type of markers are "governed" so to speak.

Just thought I would warn any other neophyte out there that might try the same thing.

Ok, you can call me stupid newb, but please don't get too nasty about it

Um, as far as I know, the Rental Valves are the EXACT same as the Classic Valve, which will accept the LX upgrade. Might want to check into the AGD Tech line before you give up.

I didn't discover this myself I took it to the local shop (Indy Extreme) who has an Automag guy. He actually called AGD and found this out or "discovered" it. They offered to drill it out, I just need to find out how much first. If it's too much, I guess another possibility is to upgrade to the X-valve but that already has level 10 on it. So I would be stuck with a level 10 upgrade unless they were willing to work out a deal of some kind. I won't give up tho. I have been very impressed by the group here and after only 3 weeks owning a mag and not even playing in a game with it, I am kind of attached to it

My guess is it would be only to cover shipping on something like that.

The Sydarm and teh Rental valves are the only guns the level 10's cant fit, and its because those guns have built in flow restrictors to keep velocities below the 280 level.

I had no idea that AGD made a different valve for the purpose of rentals only. I guess you learn something new everyday.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
