    RT Leaking out the back.

    Hello,

I just got an original RT with lvl 10 used. The gun works fine but leaks out the back, out of the hex hole where you adjust the velocity as far as I can tell. When I pull the trigger part way down the leak almost stops. Any Ideas?

I'm suppossed to be playing tommorrow, so any help is very much appreciated.

    Thanks.

If it leaks out the back, your velocity is too high. Turn it down.

Ok backed it out a bit and it slowed way down, but is still slightly leaking.

if you have the largest bolt spring in, then put the medium in. then mess with the velocity.
bigger spring needs more velocity, too high of velocity leads to venting out the back.

Ok, after turning down the velocity it's no longer leaking out through the velocity adjustment hole, but now there's a slight leak somewhere else out the back. Could it be the lvl 10? Or should I just get a parts kit and change all the orings?

              Thanks.

Forgot to mention, the leak seems to stop when I hold the trigger down.

Despite the leak I did take the marker out for some action this week, I'm loving the RT trigger after coming from a cocker.

I can't tell exactly where, but it's out the back somewhere.

If it stops when you hold the trigger, it sounds like an on/off oring issue. Get a parts kit and change out the orings in there. Also, make sure your on/off pin isn't nicked, bent or damaged in any way.
