After reading about 'mags, I did a few net deals to try them out and got hooked. Now I have several barrels, and have run into something. I'm a newbie, so bear with me:
When we got into paintball, oh, say, 3 months ago, the convential wisdom seemed to be that if you could blow the ball through the barrel it was a good fit. Without busting a gut, of course.
Now I have several mag barrels, my fav being a J&J 14" Ceramic that actually chronos faster than the shorter barrels. My local store sells Bigball for $29 a case, it doesn't break (600 shot) in the barrel and seems accurate. The thing is, I couldn't blow a ball through the barrel unless I busted a rib - it is TIGHT.
The barrel config on a mag makes it kinda hard to blow a ball through anyway. Is there a better test, or is it just a matter of what works?
