Going from CO2 to N2 with REALLY old valve. Advice please.

I have an old valve SN:CF09485
I found in the FAQ that I should likely get a new Regulator Piston Assembly & Spring Pack.

Is this all I should need? Seems like a small addition to my Mag considering how long ago I got it.

    Thank you.

You may want to get a parts kit and swap out the o rings, but gas it up and see if you have any leaks first. AIR valves can go a long time with out any problems.

You may not even need a new regulator piston, just put the N2 on your gun and gas it up, if it leaks out the back turn down the velocity and if it doesnt stop then you need the Regulator piston. My Valve is older than yours and I dident need iny new parts, to run Nitro on it.

what they said, check your o-rings and just go for it...its well worth the investment of n2

I had a classic valve from 1997 ... never replaced ANYTHING that wasn't in the standard parts kit ... put HPA on it and it worked FINE!

Just run a parts kit through your mag and you should be fine.

I also have an older valve than yours and it works very well on compressed air with no modifications.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Toss on your n2 tank, see if any problems arise, and then go from there. Like digitard said, you might not have any problems, so you don't want to go around buying parts you don't need.

Ok.... thanks everyone. I'm just gonna try the N2 and if there are any problems THEN I'll know where to start.
