    Hall Effect sensors..

While this isn't for an e-mag trigger, since it uses the same or similar activation principles.. I thought I may be able to get help here...

I just got back my Excal from PBX after getting their magnetic frame put on.. after shooting about 1000 shots or so.. I'm having some problems..

First it started taking a few trigger pulls to get the sensor to activate.. I took off the cover thing, and the sensor looked to be in the right positioning..

After a little while longer, it wouldn't activate.. When I first turn the power switch, it activates the sensor, and then won't 'reset'. If I put on allen key behind it, and push on the magnet a bit.. when I move the key, it shoots again.. Would this mean that the set screws of the magnet and trigger moved out of place, and is pushing the magnet so it is constantly in the field of the sensor, and the barrier from the allen key is weakening the magnet 'signal' enough to 'reset' it?

I don't have the right size wrenches to adjust the set screws right now, as my younger brother lost all of the small ones.. and.. wouldn't want to mess around with it to much if that wasn't what is wrong..

I hope this makes sense, as I don't know the specific terminology of the magnetic sensor and such..

my AIM is Bigzamboni I am on rather frequently, so if you can send me an IM with some help.. I would appreciate it.. or if you need me to explain it better..

    Thanks in advance.

You are on the right track that the magnet needs to move. By touching the allen key to the back of the magnet you end up making a bigger magnet (larger magnetic field) so you need to increase the space between the HES and magnet.
