The "reactor" valve was an aftermarket on/off valve that didn't do anything. The "Retro" valve is an entire valve assembly made by agd... it is the same thing as the X-Valve... except it's stainless steel instead of aluminum. X-Valve is Level 10 also.

no...an x-valve is a retro valve with a level 10 bolt(stops ball chopping)...I would most definutly go with an x-valve and get it for 225 with trade at airgun.com

Just as Miscue said the reactor valve is just a replacment on/off for the Classic/Mini type valves, The X-Valve is a full replacment valve. The Reactor valve does nothing but take $35 bucks out of your pocket.

Don't listen to all these peeps dissing the reactor. Ive got one and love it. Helps with shootdown and the reactor was the predecessor to the RT. They look very similar. Check this out http://www.paintballravi.com/Article...r/Reactor.html

Ravi's review on the reactor is OLD, iny AIR valve about 1997 or newer came stock with a better on/off assambly(it kinda even looks like a 1 peice react on/off) If you have an old style on/off set just get the new kind from the AGD store, its half the price of a Reactor valve and works BETTER. My Air valve had the old style and I used the reactor for 6 years it did help a little but I replaced it with the newer style on/off and will never switch back. By the way with the Reactor I get shoot down about 10bps and the newer AGD on/off drop off about 12-14bps on a Classic AIR valve, and for the people that say you cant pull the trigger that fast I have a AutoResponce frame so 12-14bps is pulling 6-7 times per second.
