Micro-Mag converted from a E-mag, can this be done?

Ok so, I recently won this

    I shoot this currently

So here's the question, Can I take the Grip frame, with dove tail for the battery and everthing and mount it on the micro body? I know they have a different sear pin location or something like that, but is it at all do-able?

Yes I know the E-mag looks sexy as is, but just wondering

Ok so, take the On/Off pin out of the Micro valve, and put it in the E-mag valve ans wala!?

      Can anyone else confirm this.

IT might look a little funny with a Matte body and a gloss trigger frame, but meh

That wont work...way too many issues besides the on/off pin. The sear location will be off...as well as the sear pin not working..

Doesn't the Micro-E have an e-mag body rail built into it?

Yes it can be done, but send it in to PTP for them to do. As already stated, the Micro Es use a modified emag sear, and on/off pin. PTP does that. There's also a few other things that need to be done too, like the battery clip, and a shim. If you send them a micro mag w/ retro, the upgrade costs about 550 bux, but seeing as you already have almost all the parts, I don't think it will cost all that much. Give 'em a call and tell them what you have. I'm in a similar situation, I called them, and Tracy said she'd just deduct the difference from the price, based on what I send her. Hope that helps, and good luck with it.

The battery clip is on the grip frame.

The only thing you would have to worry about in making the conversion is the sear and on/off pin length. I'm not sure how they deal with the sear. They either make an existing emag sear thinner at the bushing or they machine out the body at the sear pin to accomodate the wider emag sear.

Call Proteam Products and see what is involved.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

                          Update.

I just got off the phone with Proteam products. You can get a thinner emag sear for about $20.00 (just the sear without the plunger and clips). You will need their on/off pin which is .670 - .675 instead of the standard emag pin.

ahh, maybe battery clip was the wrong word, you know the little battery adapter thing that only micro emags use, to secure the battery to the body? That's what I meant.

As far as I know when I put my emag frame on my micromag body everything fit properly. All that was needed was the proper sear and on/off pin.

The emag grip frame and battery/holder is all one piece. It fastens much like a standard grip frame. One screw up through the frame at the trigger and one up through the frame into the back of the valve.

The piece on the front of the micro-emags is just to protect the wiring from the battery terminals. The top of the grip frame would be exposed where the battery terminal pins come up through the grip frame. Protect this and you are good to go.
