    Retro On/Off Valve Question

I had read somewhere that if you put a Retro on/off valve on the classic valve assembly you can increase the ROF and have the trigger operate more smoothly. Is there any truth to this or would the switch even do any good? Thanks.
It came to a point in my life when it was either pay the rent or buy paintball gear. I think I made the wise choice. If anyoneone needs me I'm livin in a van down by the river.
