this is the funniest problem ever......

" How come my gun doesn't shoot farther because it cost more?"

I got a classic mag with the xvalve(lvl10), 68cu 3000psi pure energy tank, intelliframe. I cant seem to get even 10bps out of this gun. It keeps short stroking or the velocity is screwed..help me outGood Trader: Jet-Xino, Legato, bpinoy730, mpyacfo, ring

Have you worked the level10 kinks out yet? Broke in the carrier and such? If your getting variable velocity that could be a bad paint match or a few other things.
Also, if you do get 10 bps out of a mechanical mag, I'd learn to be satisfied with that. If you want faster, your probably gonna have to upgrade to an emag. You could go for an electro trigger frame, but I personally wouldn't recomend it. Too much tinkering, I'm not a tinkerer.Comment

First start doing more finger push-ups and ingesting lots of caffeine. Then when the time comes put your twitching finger up against the trigger, and WHAM!
Seriously though, the ROF achieved is limited by the user. There's no easy way around it.

some kid told me i should be able to reach 20bps by finding the 'sweet spot'...And if i bought an electronic trigger frame...which is the best?! i love tinkering!Good Trader: Jet-Xino, Legato, bpinoy730, mpyacfo, ring

sweet spot bad because it is not allowed by any tournanments, nor is it allowed by most fields. Additionally, I VERY seriously doubt that you would be able to get the valve to sweetspot at 20bps. MAYBE seventeen.
Electronic frames will definitly remove the 'kick' from your trigger that allows you to shoot fast with it. There have been numerous reports of these things chewing up bolts, also. Even if you like to tinker, i wouldnt do this to your main gun if you expect to be able to play with it at the drop of a hat. Maybe on a backup.
If you want Electro performance out of a mag, you need to go with an emag or x-mag.
Now, as far as you being able to shoot the x-valve faster.
The reactivity in the trigger is what allows some of us to wail on x-valves faster than many electro users. This reactivity is determined by a number of factors. First off is the input pressure from your tank. Adjustable tanks (that are working properly) are nice to have so you can get more kick from the trigger. If you turn the input pressure up too high on a finely tuned setup, thats when you get the full-auto thingie sweetspotting.
Some guns wont do this, and some guns will do it at 800psi, and some will do it at 1000 psi. The secret lies in the on/off pin. the specific legnth of this pin will affect how reactive your trigger feels. Longer or shorter will make things better or worse- - - its different for every gun. (especially guns using the 'drop in upgrade'). An on/off pin that fires like a dream in one gun may not even allow another gun to fire (if i take the retrovalve out of my z-grip gun and put it in my friends, it wont even fire)
AGD includes an 'average' legnth pin in the drop in x-valve kits- - - to be sure that the valve will at least work in all guns. You could order several different size pins from agd, and through a process of trial and error find the one that's best for your gun. Or you could call AGD, send them the gun, and have them install a 'custom' pin that will optomize performance and reactivity for your specific gun. This is what I did, and my retromags work GREAT!! - - MUCH more reactive than they were before. Keep in mind that You won't want to change main bodys, body rails, or trigger frames after doing this- - - any of these things could affect the 'perfect' legnth you need for the gun.
Finally, the MAIN thing that will let you rip fast with an x-valve is PRACTICE. just like any other trigger out there, your fingers have to get used to the pull and feel. Generally the people that have used a specific trigger type for a while are the ones that can rip the fastest on it.
SO, my advice to you is to
1. get the right legnth on/off pin
2. Play with the gun alot. . . you will get faster. DONT TRY to shoot super-fast at first. It will come naturally with practice.
3. Stay away from electro frames. They may really mess up your gun, and defeat the point of 'reactivity' in an x-valve.
Hope this helps,
