ok, so here is the story. yesterday when i was playing, by bolt in my RT (origional older style one)seized up on me and was stuck foward. i had to stop playing for the day because i was unable to get the bolt loose. when i got home, i had to push quite hard on it to finally have it come loose. when i tried to put it back in, it would become stuck, right as the tip of it got into place. i thought i might be just the bolt (the bolt that got stuck was a venturi) so i tried it with the stock bolt, but the same thing happened. does any one know that the problem might be and how to fix it? thanks for your help.

Sounds like the retaining washer inside the body may have gotten damaged. There may be a burr or maybe the washer had a defect that allowed the constant pounding of the bolt to mushroom the inner circle causing it to close slightly. You can fix it by smoothing the inner diameter of the washer using a circular file. Take just enough metal off to allow the bolt to move back and forth without contact.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts. -
the retaining washer is a permanent part of the boby and cannot be reolaced. however, if you are using metal ball detents check the ball end of the detent. if it broke the tip may have folded down into your barrell and jammed your bolt forward. i know it sounds odd but i saw this problem just a couple of months ago!Comment

I am assuming the bolt stuck with the barrel out of the gun as well as with the barrel in the gun. If it only sticks with the barrel in the gun but not with your barrel out, then check your nubbins. If you are using metal nubbins change them out and use the plastic ones. If the bolt sticks with the barrel out of the gun then file the inner hole of the washer. You can't replace it but you can trim it.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment

i checked the ball detents and they were fine. so i checked the washer and found the smallest burr. so i sanded it down, but the bolt is still sticking. is there anything else that could make it stick like this? oh yea. it sticks with the barrel in and without the barrel in.Comment
