I know there is a regulator in the mag already but iv seen many automags with regulators on them...heres my question...when i get my mag, im planning on putting a 68/3000 nitro on it... will i have to make any adjustments or get another reg or can i just fill it, plug it in and it will work... i dun wanna just plug it in and the back shoot off or anything like that

preset = fixed. preset, or fixed means that the output pressure on the tank is not adjustable. you can get a low output fixed tank, usually preset at 450 psi input pressure, or a high output fixed tank, usually preset at 800 or 850 psi input pressure. or you can get an adjustable tank(i would reccomend and air america) in which you can adjust the output pressure.Originally posted by Mag-num

Yep, works fine. I'm using a preset 850 Crossfire tank and it works great with my ReTro Valve. I'd really prefer an adjustable because it would allow me to adjust the reactivity of the ReTro but your just starting out so a preset is your best(and least expensive) bet. Good luck, and Welcome to AO!
