    Lot of Technical questions

OK, I tried the flour in the barrel trick and shot a paintball each time-here is what I found out:

First ball down looks as though it took most of the flour with it indicating that the ball is too large for the barrel. This is PMI premium in a brand new DYE Excel 14"

Second ball down does the complete opposite! I recoat the barrel, fire, and notice there is flour, no flour, flour, no flour, indicating the ball jumped around, meaning it was too small, and it was the exact same paint!

In any case, there were no two lines down the barrel. I really want to keep this barrel, as I don't think it is a problem with the barrel. I need to try out different paints or something. I am looking for consistency.

Ok, next question, as someone else asked...

Could I get a minimag body(cause it looks cool) and put it on my automag without ANY problems, so the only change would be cosmetic? I want to keep the gun's reliability solid.

Another question, how do you take off the body? Is it thats screw at the top of the trigger? My friend shot paint and it hit my gun and I need to clean between the rail and body...are there any parts that fly out?

any help is very much appreciated. Thanks,

    -Dave

Yes, the bodies will interchange with no difficulty. No, the peices will not fly out, just do it slow the first time so you can see how it comes apart. It will only be cosmetic and not affect reliability.

The screw at the top of the trigger, and the one on the back of the grip are the ones to take the frame and rail apart. The back screw also holds the valve in, it comes out with a small twist to get it out of the groove it is in. I hope this helps.:)

Call AGD and register your gun. If you ask politely, they'll send you an automag disassembly video.

PMI Premiums can be a bit inconsistent. Try some Marbs/El Tigre/All Stars/Slam or the new JT stuff. Costs more, but seems to be more consistent. Works good for me in medium bore barrels.

Be advised that bodies are expensive. aigun.com lists the prices.

        cleaning your mag

AGD's recommended way to clean the outside of your mag, is to gas it up, and put it in a bucket of water...the gas keeps the water out of the places that shouldnt get wet...just a quick way to clean it in the field, if you need...

Ever hear this at a funeral?

                    Hi Dave,

The minimag body can be installed on your automag quite easily but there are instances where the tolerance levels of the two bodies may differ enough to cause a change in your gun's performance. I am not trying to discourage you from doing this as the chances of this are rather slim but I just wanted to pass on the info since it was a point that came up when I asked the same question. :)
