i don't think we have to pay, but they are changing the policy very soon (talked to joanne) and the change is going to be in like 60-90 days, waht she said and then we are screwed, so send it in now if you need to !

but there weren't that many smartmags made, comparatively. Having a low smartmag # just means you bought a gun that few of were sold, but having a low # minimag or classic mag=really old...my mini is about 4 years old. Got that puppy for $200 a couple weeks ago

                Hello,
I'm new here but have been playing for years. I haven't played much in recent years, and stumbled to AO one day. I have been lurking about and decided to register after reading this thread. I am hoping an AGD official will respond to the original question as to the warrantee. I am the proud original owner of a MiniMag with the valve number MM03440. I am guessing by the tone of the other posts that this is an older one. Mine is not broken, nor has ever given me any trouble. Just wondering where I stand.

Anyway, just thought I'd say hello.

                      Old as dirt...

I think the airgun.com website describes it as:

Older markers without stars laser engraved above the serial number We will continue our free service policy (except for abuse) for the following markers
                      (effective 1/1/2000):

AUTOMAGs with serial numbers greater than 30000
MINIMAGs with serial numbers greater than 8000

We no longer provide free service for:
AUTOMAGs with serial numbers lower than 30000
and MINIMAGs with serial numbers lower than 8000
We will now charge a rebuild fee of $45 for repairing these markers.

This rebuild fee covers the replacement of soft parts. There will be additional charges for hard parts such as bolts or sear assemblies. There is a 30 day warranty on rebuild repair work.

OK, I think I understand the warrentee now. Looks like if my valve ever breaks, I'm looking at $45. No big deal. Its built pretty solid, and I'm not that hard on it.
