    my mag leaks...help

    setup:

    minimag
    retrovalve
planet eclipse blue/black/silver body rail & powerfeed plug
    benchmark 2x frame
    cp 1 piece barrel
    chrome vert. adaptor
    vl gas thru grip
    cp mirco drop
    pure energy 68/3000 steel

    couple of problems.

1st: my mag is leaking from the on/off valve. i've changed all the o-rings, adjusted reg pressure, adjusted the trigger rod in & out 'til i'm blue in the face. i don't know what else to do. i bought the mag used from a guy not too long ago so i thought maybe the guy might have replaced the on/off pin with one for a regular mag. no way of telling without having a regular one to test. but then i noticed something that may be responsible for the leak. the sear is one for a minimag, not for a retro. could that be the problem? do i need a new on/off pin, sear, or the whole on/off assembly?

2nd: i've installed my lvl 10 & it doesn't leak or anything. the problem is i'm only able to use the shortest spring & i think i can still chop. if i try to use the other springs i have to crank the reg pressure up until it vents. would a new reg piston solve the problem? thanks in advance.

I don't know about the on/off but buying a new reg piston would fix your LX venting

ok, on problem #1, When the gun is gassed up and leaking, pull the trigger and fire it- - now hold the trigger down. What does the leak do now? does it completely stop? or does it kinda make a 'lawn sprinkler' noise- - this intermittent "psst, pssst, pssst."?
