    E-Mag vertical feed or powerfeed???

    I have a question:

If I were to order the vertical feed mainbody from AGD, would I need a different barrel also? And, would my DYE ultralite, all american or any of my other mag barrels still work? Or would I need a whole new set of barrels? Is vertical feed any better than powerfeed? Thanks for the answers in advance!

I know that the centerfeed barrels are all special products which must be requested. As for aftermarket barrels, most after market barrels, that I know of, have two grooves, one for left power feed and the other for right. When I converted my powerfeed left RT Pro to a warpfeed left E-mag, I had to buy a powerfeed right stock barrel from AGD, as a warpfeed left is a shortened powerfeed right, and thus uses those barrels. The aftermarket barrels that I have, which I rarely use mind you, fit both bodies because they have two of those twist lock grooves, one for left and the other for right.

It's not really much better. It maybe feeds a ball/second faster. I got a vertical feed since I had no intentions of getting a warpfeed anytime soon and liked the balance of a centerfeed.

Unfortunately, you will need to mill your barrels to work with a centerfeed or buy new barrels.

I got my "E" with a hopper left confguration. With a Revy, (with a TurboRev chip from Wicked Air Sportz) I can shoot at 12 bps (the board set @ 12bps, that is, I haven't chopped yet!) H-L works great for me.

If you wanna go vert feed, special vert feed barrels are required. (your existing barrels won't work) Do you have a power feed body? I think (and this is pure speculation, that a vert feed body gives you no advantage, feed wise, over a power feed body) The hopper will determine your ultimate feed rate.

Thanks for the great info guys. I do have a hopper right mainbody and was just wondering what the overall advantage was with vertical feed. I think I might like the balance aspect of vertical feed and I think I will wait before buying the vertical feed body because of all my old barrels. Thanks again!
