Air Questions

I saw these Crossfire 4500 PSI systems with a low pressure output of 450 PSI. I was wondering if those systems will work in my in my Level 7 Classic valve Automag with the Level 10 and a 14 inch All american Barrel...Is it posible?

For short no, it might work fine but you run the risk of starving your mag of air. Go with an 800+psi preset or get an adjustable.

I'd say no to but I disagree w/ speedyejl. It won't work fine, it just won't work at all!

No... To little air, the valve shoots at 400 and requires much more input PSI.

Yes and 450 psi isn't "much more input psi".

it might not work at higher velocities, but on my friends mag which had a stablizer (running Co2) we wanted to see how low the preassure would go. The facility was indoor so the mag was probably using about 400ish or less (the reg brings it to 350-450). Well anyhow for short the mag seemed to work fine untill about 405psi which was probably around the mags operating preassure. Keep in mind that most good regs have enough flow to keep up with the recharge on a mag, there is just that chance of the air getting restricted causing shootdown. Getting shootdown with a reg probably means its a pos, a Palmer can suposedly handle a mag at 20bps+ and i doubt anyone can sustain 20bps or higher for to long.

never get a tank with an output pressure that is less than 700psi, the reason is because the mag has an internal regulator which regulates the ~800psi down to about 400-450psi, which is the mags operating pressure, a LP tank will cause drop off on any HP gun, LP's are made mainly for cockers, shockers, and impulses

                Go with the HP preset

But im just playing devils adovocate here,
A LP tank will work fine without shootdown under the following conditions

Tanks output is higher preasure than the needed preasure for desired velocity

Tanks output volume at the preasure above is high enough as to not prevent shootdown

Its that simple, and yes there are regs like the Palmer and others which have high enough flow.
