I have some questions on the new Mags. First of all, the only thing I've used for two years is my Tippmann 98, so I'm pretty much clueless on highend markers such as the RT Pro and E-Mag. I've been considering getting an Automag RT Pro for a new gun. I've heard they do over 26bps with no shoot down, but will they go that fast from the factory??? If they won't, how fast?? I would consider my Tippmann very fast because I had to order a Halo B for it, everything else chopped balls. How does the RT Pro compare to the Tippmann RT??? Do the triggers work the same?? Is the RT Pro tournament legal?? And does it have different settings for semi auto?? Can you put a Level 10 bolt in a RT Pro?? I've heard lots about this bolt but only about the E-Mag. I'm sorry for all the questions but I am truely clueless about Automags and would like to learn more about them. Anybody who has an RT Pro, please leave feedback on how well it has performed for you. Thanks!

Q. What's the rate of fire?
A. Depends on how fast you can pull the trigger. The valve is capable of 26bps without shootdown, however, I've yet to see a person who can pull the trigger that fast.
Q. How does the RT Pro compare to the Tippmann RT? Do the triggers work the same?
A. I don't know. I have no experience with the Tipmann.
Q. Is the RT Pro tournament legal?
A. Yes.
Q. Does it have different settings for semi auto?
A. No. The RT Pro is a mechanical marker, not electronic (the E-mag and X-mag are electronic).
Q. Can you put a Level 10 bolt in a RT Pro?
A. Yes.

First, the level 10 bolt fits all mags including the RT Pro.
The Retro valve in the RT Pro is the fastest valve on the market. Many valves cycle just as fast, but none can do it and have the capability to fire a ball without velocity drop off.
The retro valve is little different than the response trigger on a TippmanRT. The TippmanRT response trigger is designed to go full auto due to trigger bounce. The retro is designed to provide a quicker trigger response. You still have to physically pull the trigger on the RT Pro to get it to fire. This makes it tournament legal.
You can adjust the reactiveness of the retro valve by adjusting the input pressure. You won't neccessarily get a full auto effect though. That would be a malfunction and may cause premature wear of the parts.
The RT pro requires no upgrades from the factory other than the level 10 bolt. That prevents chopping but no other upgrades are needed to make this gun the fastest most reliable mechanical marker in the marketplace.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

thank you very much for fellas, I really appreciate the help. Next question is, how heavy is the trigger pull on the RT, is it like a stock type trigger pull, can you get it lightened? or is it as light as an electronic guns trigger pull.....and what kind of gun is shooting all of these Halo's I see on oddysseypaintball.com??? lol thx again.

most of the guns on the site are emags. There was at least one video that had a regular mag with a hyperframe on it.
The thing to keep in mind about the RT pro is that it is the gun that most of us with regular automags try to upgrade to. The valve system is the same as an emag (with a few very small differences). The gun comes with the best triggerframe available for the mag already on it. Many people wind up spending $800 or so upgrading *this includes the original purchase cost* their mag to have the features that come stock on the RT pro for about $600. It is definitly the best, least expensive way to get maximum mechanical performance in a paintgun.
The stock pull on the rt pro is going to be different. Thats the quickest way to describe it. It will take some getting used to. Don't expect to pick up the gun out of the box and throw paint as fast as when you are sweetspotting your tippy RT. However, with practice, you will be able to shoot the gun incredibly fast.
The level 10 upgrade does make a bit of a difference in the way the trigger pull feels. If the lX is installed properly and the gun is in normal working order, then the pull is somewhat lighter.
Hope this helps,
Carl
