Small Leak out of back of vavle?!?

I went to gas up my RT mag (classic mag with RT valve) and it gased fined. The trigger WAS held down, but when i realsed it gas leaked out of the back of the valve, at first it was out of the ASA (i think) or the place where you adjust velocity, then after i tried to see if i could get the leak to leak down by shooting it started to come out of the small hole underneath the valve (i think). The leak was noticeable but it wasn't a blast of air. When ever i held the trigger down the leaking stopped. I had played with it the weekend before without any flaws. The oil i used after last weekend was Rem oil Its a gun oil and the guy i bought it from claiemd to have used it also. I was using a 68/3k maxflow if it matters. Hmmmm i think the o-rings needed to be replaced and i just got done doing that. I hope i did it allright haha. Any help or solutions to why this might of happened will be greatly appreciated.

Take the regulator assembly out and clean it. You may have a piece of dirt or a bad o-ring on your reg piston.

I personally don't like to use gun oil in my mag. Some gun oil can be hard on o-rings. I use a high quality airtool oil. My mags have run for years (1993 till now) with almost no maintenance.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

        Thanks athomas,
I knew the Rem oil wasn't good for the o-rings but at the time it was all I had. But last night i replaced the reg piston o-rings and wasn't sure if that was the right thing to do. Thanks for verifying that.

Sorrry to up a dead thread

But, I was wondering if repacling the spacer and orings on the reg piston would work as good as buying a new one? Or should i just buy a new one?

I think you should be fine just cleaning everything out and replacing the o-rings. If that doesn't work then replace the assembly. Most of the parts in a mag will last for years of hard playing, so you should be fine with the hard parts that you have. Just keep them clean and properly lubricated.
