Please help a stoopid noobee with is xmag...

Okay, here goes. Please don't flame me, or tell me to RTFM. I am posting from work and don't even have the marker available (nor the CD/manual). Please forgive my ignorance on this, I am trying to learn as I go.

When I recieved my Xmag last month, the first thing I did was hook up a remote hose to the valve and plug in my big 114 tank and dry fire. well, it wouldn't fire, and that's when I discovered that pesky ACE setting that needed to change to mode 00 for dryfiring.

Shot what air I had left in that tank (hundred or so shots). She has been sitting there waiting for me to finish setting her up and go again.

I finally got a omega drop and ASA for her, and set her up with a macro hose (I waited to order the SS line until I knew how I wanted to set her up so I could have th right length, I also have a place that has green heat-shrink wrap for the hose). I screw in a fixed output PMI hpa with 2k pressure and now it gets interesting.

The marker just clicks. I don't know enough to say what is clicking, but the trigger rod mechanism seems to want to engage, but the bolt doesn't go.

The first thing I did was charge the battery (I hadn't charged it once since receiving it until now), even though I hadn't seen a low battery signal on the LED. - does the same thing.

    here is my questions:
    1. (this is probably going to get me the noobee of the year award) - there seems to be a safety button or something on the grip frame toward the rear of the marker. I have tried in both positions and still just clicks. - what is this thing?
    2. When in ACE mode 00 should I be able to dry-fire with no breech installed?

My first thought is that I need to adjust the ACE, but don't know anything about that other than:

OK, its horribly broken, will never function again. Please send it to the following address...

OK the safety on the back, if you can see the red stripe, its OFF.

The click is probably the solenoid pulling the sear.

Have you tried turning up the velocity. I don't know what your current L10 settings are, but it might need to be tweaked a bit.

the "safety" in back is the sear lock. remember - red - your dead.

if your a.c.e. is in 00 mode then you should be able to dry fire even with the breech off. As mentioned, try and get it working in Mmode first. make sure your input pressure is high and your velocity is up.

when charging the batt. make sure your using the right charger. something with enough volts but not enough mah will not have enough power to reliably fire in Emode yet the battery will not register as low.

with the a.c.e. on or off, it makes no difference if the breech is on or not.

If it wouldnt fire with the breech off because the ace is on, then it would be the same deal if the breech was on(so long as the ace is set properly)

If it did fire with the ace and breech off then it would be the same with the breech on.
