Lvl 10 Prob?

I just got my gun tuned by the AGD techs but im still havin a weird problem.
When my flatline gets down to around 1000 psi, the level 10 activates in rapid fire,(don't think its a short stroke). I would dry fire a string of 5 and on the 3rd or so, "psst". The techs fixed this but I still get it when my air gets around 1000. I have a retro mag, lvl 10 with intelli btw.
Any ideas?

it sounds like you are starving the gun for air. I had the same problem on a defective air system: rapid fire, psst. If you shot slower, everything was gravy.

Now, this dosent mean that you have a defective air system. First off, what is you input pressure going into the gun? 850 or so? maybe a little more? as your tank pressure drops, you will experience a LITTLE drecrease in output pressure. (if everythings working fine, it should be pretty much not noticeable.) If, when you air tank is getting below 1000, it's getting below the set output pressure your gun is finding itself in a situation where its trying to work as fast as normal on an air source that is NOT as normal as what it was set up on.

My advice (and what I do with my systems) is always fill up when i get right below 1000.


before you call it quits though, First I would suggest that you try a different air system on the gun: borrow someones for a little bit. See if you experience the same problem on that tank.

I thought that dropping the flateline output would prevent the air going out to be more than the air in the tank, but that didnt seem to do much. DO you RT + lvl 10 guys got the same problem, when ur tank gets around 1000, u notice the kick is much weaker and the bolt doesnt blow forward all the way, resulting in a missfire and "psst" ?

well, its not so much a deal of dropping the output pressure so the reg is still "regging down". Its just that your reactivity is based on higher input pressures. So, if you get good trigger bounce at 850, as the tank pressure gets close to that level, the actual output pressure will drop slightly. THis means that your reactivity will suffer a bit. Like i said before, depending on how bad your case is, it is possible that your flatline could use some maintence. However, I do experience a similar effect when i run my tank dry. I just always top off after every game, or at the least when i start getting down to the area of 1000psi.

I have a 3000 psi 68 cu flateline. I had it filled and the gauge read around 2500. I would estimate I put no more than 350 shots through it b4 it got to around 1000 psi. So are you telling me I should fill up every 350 shots or so? Cause I dont usually play at a field and this could be a big pain.

I did accidently turn the output pressure to high the first time I used my flateline, and air started venting out the brass thing opposite the onoff. Could this mean anything? What output psi will the flateline begin to vent?

And if I ever had problems, isnt the flateline covered under warrenty from AGD?

Yes, the flatline is covered by AGD.

Well, it should have never leaked from the spot you are describing. That particular area you are talking about is not affected by the out put pressure. When you turn the output up too much, it should vent from the allen hole where you are adjusting it at.

If you had a leak from the on/off shaft area (the part you are describing) It is possible that you have a slow leak from the tank. Try gassing up the gun and put the tank into a bucket of water. Look for bubbles.

Additionally, you should get WAAAY more than 350 shots from a full tank. *although I know you said you only got filled up to 2500* From a full 3k, I get more like 700 before I hit the 'refill point' of around 900 psi. SO, I would look at your gun for gas hogging, as well.
