I have a RT Pro and I recently aquired a Z-grip in a trade. When I put the Z-grip on my RT it leaves a gap in between the part of the frame, it's also very hard to put the grip on and keeping it level.
Can anyone help me out I enjoy using the Z-grip alot and don't want to give it up?
One thing I noticed with the grip that I never noticeed before is at the top of the frame it's grooved to fit a standard mag rail and not a RT body rail.
This is what it looks like at the top of the trigger frame
\___/
and the bottom of my RT body rail looks like this____
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm worried that the sear will not engage the bolt and on/off properly with the frame not flush with the bottom of the body rail.
Would it chew up the bolt if I used it this way?
Will I be able to use the Z-grip like this if not is there someone who will mill the top of the frame for me so that it will sit flush on the rail?
Also I want to make sure that the screws that I'm using will be long enough to hold the frame in with no problem or should I use a longer front and a longer field strip screw if there is such a thing.
