    Level 7?

How can you tell if your vavle is at least a level 7? Is it something with the serial number or with the design?

If I remember correctly, the level 7 has the spacer in the powertube while the level 6 has a spring. If I am wrong, somebody will correct me.

Is that the only difference? Can you tell by serial number?

Early level 7's also had the spring.

Level 6 mags had a removable power tube.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

The reason why I'm asking is due to the warranty issues with Airgun Designs. I wanted to see if my valves could be rebuilt. I still haven't been able to get them running right. I never had any problems with either until I changed the all the o-rings and the reg seat out in them. I have no idea what to do now. My mini valve is an old one, but my mag valve is new. Neither have stars, and I don't know if they've ever been serviced before. I'm tired of taking them apart and trying to rebuild them with no success. The mag keeps leaking and the mini trigger keeps getting stuck on the body.

My mag leak varies. It started in the expansion chamber. I fixed that one. Then this past week it started to leak in the valve. I thought it was blow off, but it wasn't leaking out of the velocity screw. I have a feeling that it is leaking at the reg seal. The front half of the valve was frozen by the time I got my air turned off.
The mini is a different story all together. It was running great until I replaced all the o-rings and everything. They were looking old, so I decided to swap them out. Now when I shoot it the trigger sticks. I've heard that it might be the on-off pin, the on-off spacer (which actually worked for a bit), and the rail bushing. None of these have proven to be a long term fix. Tha mag valve is still leaking and the mini trigger is still sticking. 've been working on them both for about 6 weeks now. I've changed o-rings, spacers and seals with no fix. I'm not a technical wiz, but it can't be that hard. I've watched the video and talked to all the mag guys I run with. They are just as stumped as I am.
I'm going to be sitting out for the next few games, so I have time to get them worked on and back ready for play.

Do you run C02? It probably is the spacer on the mini but i could be wrong. And if it is the on/off pin than you could oil it up but i dont know why it would do that. You might want to send your valves in to agd if they have so many problems.

I am running CO2. I was going to try to upgrade this year, but I'm paying for grad school and books also. I am planning on getting in touch with AGD this week to see how much and what they do to the valves that I haven't done.

My advise is to try and figure it out yourself and if you cant or dont have time then send them in to AGD. And when they are fineally fixed DONT RUN CO2! That will solve all your problems. Good luck

Well, sending to AGD is out of the question. My mags are too old. So what can I do to get these going? You mentioned oiling the on-off pin. And I saw something about oiling the reg seal. What all needs/takes oil?

as far as your mini goes, try a shorter spacer. if the shortest one doesn't work borrow one of your buddies main springs and try that. you said your valve is old, your spring may be worn down. as for the classic you'll have to narrow down where the leak is coming from. there is enough mag knowledge in this forum that someone will be able to help you.

I tried a different spacer on the mini already. It worked for a couple of times, but that was it. The on-off pin is not reseting. Do I need to oil the reg seal on the mag?
