if i take an automag on off and put it into an xvalve will it work on co2 without the retro

An rt valve or an X valve can only be used wtih HPA. The valve/reg cycles so fast it will freeze and brake all the o-rings. CO2 can not expand to gas fast enough to be used, so the valve freezes. There is no way to use these valve with CO2, but if you want to rebuild the vavle for fun try it!

The on/off is PART of the reason you get the Reactive Trigger. (Larger on/off pin head) But it's the valve design itself that does it. CO2 won't work no matter what you do.
