    shoot down happens

I bought my mag used also. I had a problem with shoot down. I went on ebay and got an 8-hole mod for the back of my mag. I read many reviews about it. Some say that it does nothing and others swear by it. I personally loved the 8-hole mod. It dramatically decreased my shoot down. I was able to shoot 10-15 balls rapidly with a lot less shoot down. It will not get rid of shoot down completely because the classic valve does not recharge fast enough.I have it for sale for $15 shipped if you want it. If you want to get rid of shoot down completely then do what I did and go with the x-valve program. For $232 shipped you get an x-valve (retro valve capable of shooting up to 26 bals/second with no shootdown) and a lvl-10 (bolt system that eliminates ball breakage). The only catch is that you have to send them the valve from your mag and you dont get it back. But it is worth it. If you dont want to spend that much cash then get the 8-hole mod. Good luck with your mag. PM me if you have any questions.

Replace your regulator seat seal, clean the reg. valve pin and make sure no debris is caught up in the spring, clean and oil the piston and shoot down will be eliminated. Also, make sure there is a small gap inbetween the trigger rod and the back of the trigger when gassed up.

the standard AIR valve was designed to shoot at 16 BPS with no shootdown. if the valve is clean and functioning correctly, it should work very well at 10-12 BPS.
