Ok i was talkign to some poeple and i was askign about the level 10 bolt. They asked me what kind of mag i have and i replied it was a smartmag. Then they asked me what my serial number was and i replied Serial # sm00960. Is this a old mag?? and also my on/off top is way different then the normal ones now. could anybody answer to how old this mag is and is it worth anymore or less and will the level 10 bolt work on this gun

It is probably 92 - 94 vintage. Even though it has the Smartparts serial number it is still a genuine AGD valve. The level 10 bolt will work on it.
Earlier on/off assemblies were a little different. The new tops are universal meaning you can't put them in upside down like the old ones. They seem to exhibit better flow as well.
Check the alignment of the hole between the valve back and the valve front as well. If they aren't opposite each other when the valve is put together, then you should get the back drilled so the holes line up. This will help your mag recharge and prevent shoot down.
The smartmag is just a custom marketed mag by Smartparts. It is no more or less expensive than any other mag.
Bring it up to date and you will rock for many more years.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts. -

when you seperate the two halves of the AIR valve. thier will be a hole in the front of the back half. it should line up with the hole in the front part that leads to the on/off. if it doesn't you can drill a hole in the right place to make it line up. this just keeps shootdown to a minimum.
