X-Mag Battery Trouble

I am having a problem with my X-Mag Battery. I thought they were supposed to last 20,000 shots between charges. I am lucky to get 2000. Also it drains pretty much overnight and is not holding a charge. I just got this X-Mag in December. Any ideas?
