    valve pin question

i have a stock 68 automag with level 10 bolt, i decided i want a retro valve, not x valve (not worth the extra cash IMO). So i talked to a friend that will swap me his emag valve for my stock valve plus $160 CDN, im ok with this so far. Now when he sends in my stock valve and cash to get a x valve, could i just swap the pin from the emag valve with the level 10 valve so it works on my mag? or do i have to get a different pin? im only askign this because im unsure if the oin length is right, becuae i know either way that the emag on off pin length isnt right for my 68automag.

I wasn't sure what you were talking about there at first.......yes all you should have to do it swap the on/off pin for a .750 pin. if you have your stock pin, use that. otherwise you can buy them at the AGD store.

      don't swap!

I would suggest not swapping the on/off pin from your classic valve into the emag valve you are trading for. Emag valves are retro valves and, as such, use differnt on/off pins than classic valves. They are shaped differently. It's not just a matter of length. You can, however, order a new on/off pin from AGD. Looks like .750 is the one you want.

so this .750 on/off pin is what comes on the RT valve, Emag Valve, X Valve, or Stock Automag valve?

the .750 pin for the Retro valve is the one that comes with the retro for the automag. the RTpro and the Emag both have a slightly different length pin.

            go here:

that will show the different lengths that are used for different guns.

lets say after the x valve arrived, we switched pins so it woudl look liek this:

My Mag- EMag Valve, X Valve pin

Friends EMag- X Valve, EMag pin

would both guns function with that, because of my knowledge the x and rt valves use the same length pins

yes, that should work........I believe the x-valve ships with the .750 pin.

Yeah... That will work. But I suggest just switching the pin and not the assembly. I think the x-valve has some type of different o-rings on the pin assembly. But yeah it will work.

Does his emag valve hasve a lvlx??

Cause if you send in a classic valve w/ the lvl x on it you will just lose money, and a lvl x.
