PSI question

So I'm trying to decide whether to buy a 3000psi or 4500 psi tank and I'm concerned that some fields wont be able to fill a 4500 tank and I wont have air.

Basically I'm curious what happens when you fill a 68ci 4500psi tank at a 3000psi fill station. Can you? Will it just operate at a 68ci 3000psi capacity? What's the deal?

Any and all advice/recommendations would be helpful.

It's fine, it's all the same air it's just that the 4500 psi has more pressure. If you fill the 4500 tank on a 3000 fill station it will onley fill it up to 3000 psi instead of 4500.
