    68 Classic Valve

I have a 68 classic vavle that i bought used. When i gas up the gun, it leaks from the very back where there is whole for allen wrench. How do i stop this leak?

Also, i can't seperate body, body rail, and trigger frame, I take out the screw that lets you take out the valve, but after that, I can't seperate it, how would i do this?

last one, how do i change the FPS on the marker, im guessing the screw in the back of the valve??

    Thanks a lot.

Go to airgun.com and they have an online manual for the Automag. I think it's in the technical section. It has a trouble shooting section near the end for this type of leak. Also, that is the screw you adjust to change the velocity. Good luck!

Yeah your velocity adjuster (the large nut on the back of the valve) is screwewd in too far. This causes overpressure and venting through the allen key hole on the adjuster.

Unscrew it until the leak stops, then a quarter turn more, then chronograph... if the reg piston and spring pack is in good condition you should be over 300 fps at this point so dial the adjuster down as required.

Older mags can vent too early when used with high pressure air- this means you might find the leak stops when you dial down, but the gun will be firing too low. In that case remove the adjuster and spring pack, and pull out the reg piston. Officially you should get a replacement, but if you clamp the piston in a soft jawed vice you can unscrew the allen bolt inside (quarter turn at a time)- it will be tight- and that way increse the blow off pressure. Rechrony and repeat until you can get the velocity high enough.

If you can't get the valve out after unscrewing the Field Strip Screw, pull your trigger. Your On/Off pin is sticking in the down position. (Don't yank, cuz you can mess up the pin and then you're literaly SCREWED.)

I think he's saying he wants to seperate the actual rail and body/etc as well ...

There's a 2nd screw on the top of the trigger area ... you need to remove that as well.

          Sincerely,
