    ok..i need help...almost killed myself...really no joke

ok, im a idiot, i can't set this lvl 10 bolt up, and i almost killed myself doing it....I forgot to reconnect the macro line on the valve so it was just attached the the bottom line so it started whipped around and whipped my left pink and my righ hand twice. So now theres 2 nices bruises on my back hand. But anyway.....I can't set this thing up and i thought i should get more help now. I looked on the thing on how to set it up, but it seems like no carries will work. It works w/ the normal bolt though. But it leaks down the barrel, unless i have the carries w/ 3 slases on it, but it still won't fire... I have 2 shims in, and all the o-rings that are needed. And im using the spring w/ cut part off. please help i want to live...lol..I any one wants to buy it though, feel free to E-mail me at [email protected] though...

forget it, no help for you, you didnt nearly kill yourself, at worst all youwould have done is weak maming...

just kidding...if you're saying your problem is that it won't fire after you set up your LX for the first time them all you have to do is turn up the velocity until it does start firing.

have you looked over the more detailed assembly instructions for the LX? hopefully this link will take you there (http://www.automags.org/resource/lev...shtml#detailed)

start over again and go through it as per the instructions on this page. assemble without the shims first and with the shortest spring to try and get everything working. after that you can tune it using shims and spring lengths.

good luck, let us know how it turns out.

ok, i tried the smaller spring but it didn't seem to help. I used it on the carrer w/ 3 knotchs though. But i the onlt carries that are in there are like 2 w/4 knotches, 2 w/ 3 knotches, 2 w/ 2 knotches, 1 w/ 1 knotch and 1 w/ no knotches. Shouldn't there be more w/ different knotches?

You need to keep turning up the velocity until it does fire. To quote cphillip, keep screwing it and it will get better.

                  Sounds like a personal problem.

Actually, you may need new reg springs. Is it an old 'mag?

Also, what pressure are you "feeding" it? You aren't trying to use a "low pressure" HPA tank are you? You need to have at least 600psi going into the 'mag.

Also, try your original (from the level 7 bolt) spring.

Also, make sure you are using the largest carrier that does not leak.

                      Also,...

Our team's just resurrected a load of our classic mags (unused since we haven't played for years) and fitted level 10s to all of them. Two of them point blank refused to fire, but after removing the level 10 and installing the original bolts they still didn't fire. Turned out to be the regulator spring packs- they looked fine and were clean/lubed, but swapping them out got the gun firing immediately. We spent hours fiddling around with the L10 when in fact it wasn't at fault.

Best idea is to put the old bolt back in, make sure it fires OK and with a decent velocity without having to screw the adjuster all the way in- that way you know whether it's the level 10 causing the problem or not. Then follow the L10 installation steps again.
