I have a question about sending in my gun for repairs

I just read up on the "star system"
And if i were to send my gun in, i have a few questions

    1) Should I take off my gas-thru grip and macrolines?

    2) Were I to send it in, would they fix scratches in the main body?

    Thanks

    Joel

    1) Unless they specifically tell you to take them off, no.
    2) No. (A little rubbing compound and a buffing wheel will do it for you.)

    BTW- Welcome to AO. :)

      Thanks!

      What is a "rubbing compound"?

polishing compound, like jeweler's rouge. I am assuming that you have a polished body. You can also buff it. If it is bead blasted finish, you have to have it reblasted. anyone with cabinet can do that...

Nope, It's just a stock standard feed gray body.

My dad explained all that about jewlers rouge last night.
          Thanks
