    help with building an automag?

    Hello friends...
I'm looking into building a minimag from scratch. I was wondering if any of you know of a website that has a complete parts list, and/or instructions on how to put it all together, or if one of you know all of the parts and could just post a response with a list. Also I was wondering if any of the minimag parts (besides the body) differ from the ones used in the automag classic.

:Alright guys, sorry to disappoint all of u sellers, but i already bought a mag. So right now i'm lookin for a cheap 68/30 or 68/45 tank, a minimag body, and a double trigger W/ GUARD, although i'm flat broke now... Thanks for all of ur offers and help!:

    -Thanks

well having just gone through the exact thing you are going to, I can tell you this is the best place for info. www.airgun.com has all the diagrams you will need

here is list of what you need.

    body
bodyrail (twist lock and rail bushing are generally included)
    sear
    sear pin
    front frame screw
    field strip screw
AIR valve (or x-valve if ya got the dough)
    grip frame
verticle adapter and gas thru (or fore grip)
barrels (make sure you get ones that work with the body you got)

and then of course a bottomline adapter or drop depends on your tank selection.

"super multi-green mag" Cp barrels, LX bolt, no-rise, intelli, 47ci flatline, halo................
Red dragun body, turbo valve, 12" Boomstick, Spud magics anti-chop bolt with quickstrip, ELCD, nitroduck 68CI,Gas thru stock, 12V revy, AGD Warpfeed system

Actually you will end up a whole lot cheaper buying a .68 Classic for around 240, since I think the complete one star valve assembly is around 200 I know, it doesn't make sense. Don't quote me on that price though, I could be wrong.
      My feedback

Made in USA - it matters.

it really depends on what you are wanting to do. for me, I wanted to biuld a mag with the no-rise body and all green accent parts. if I had bought one I would have replaced nearly every part anyway.

and they dont sell the standard 68AIR valve anymore. you can get them off ebay for about $60-80 used. that is how I got mine, works like a dream!

              Gun Building

Hey if you want to build a gun from scratch best of luck, but in my experience (I did this) just buy a complet gun. Its way eazyer and most of the time cheaper, you DON'T NEED aftermarket stuff on most guns now adays. So for the stuff you will need to build a gun, The stuff in the pic above, a gas thru grip (if using Co2 get a good expansion chamber), some sort of bottom line setup and tank(if your planing on getting a X-Valve you will need a nitro system), The Valve Regular AIR Valve or X-Valve, Main body, A barrel, Grip frame, grips, Hopper, elbow, barrel plug.

Just Buy a Gun, wich kind depends on how much money you got and what you want.
              JUST PLAY.Don't Gripe

ok, lets say that i buy a 68mag, cuz its cheaper, could i then buy a minimag body and move all the parts into it? Cuz i think the classic mag looks kinda goofy...

Yes, you should be able to swap the body out on a 68 classic for a minimag body without any issues.

                    Mr. Happy

I just did a similar thing doing it the buy a classic 68 and replace stuff route. But consider this, if you want to build a really rocking mag with parts....

                    One option is this.

Buy Xvalve - $325(no trade in - comes with sear)
                    Buy Rail - $40(new)
Sear pin, front and rear screws - $15(new)
                    Steel hose, Fittings - $20(new)
                    Buy Intelliframe - $100(new)
Buy new ULE body - $200 (guess at price, uses cocker barrels)
Buy Barrel - $100 (freak back, front, and insert)
                    Drop Forward - $40
                    HPA 68/4.5AA - $160

That give you a really rocking mag for $1000 complete. (assuming you have a hopper)
